Jay has a degree in theater with 58 credits in psychology and psychiatry including developmental and motivational psychology. He was a gifted learner. In the tenth grade was attending accredited courses at a the University of Pittsburgh, (weekends) studying to become a Psychiatrist. Obviously, Jay decided to do something different with his life but all those credits didn't go to waste. Jay has applied his knowledge, where it counts, in the arena of the developing mind. no matter the age. You'll get the benefit of an electric performer who will effectively communicate with your audience in an entertaining way.

Jay was also an auxiliary Police Officer working in a low income district. He has seen the devastating effects of drug use first hand. One day he may have stopped an altercation between addicts or chasing a burglar down the street and the next guarding a crime scene where a drug dealer was stabbed. Those days are over and while Jay rarely mentions he was a "Cop" during presentations he uses his knowledge to get ideas across. What is the message? It's not a single sided lecture. It's not a lecture, it's a multi level message that working toward your goals, a little at a time, will result in success. It's understanding there are decisions to make right now, that will set the gears in motion for the future. It's the message of hope. It's the message that nothing is impossible. It's knowledge of the greatest secret on earth, how to become successful. The presentation teaches a plan of action for the future. It's the knowledge that you have the means to take action and become the superstar you believe you can be. And that's the truth no matter how young or old you are.

Combining his knowledge of motivational psychology and illustrative stories, Jay will explain why, and how, keeping on the straight and narrow, will set the stage for future development and success. This is not a boring lecturer. Jay will intertwine magic effects and escapes between points explaining how he used his craft to become successful. He will prove the principles he uses can be applied to any field that students wish to pursue. He will also outline that students have a back up plan and an exit strategy and most of all to believe they can achieve the impossible. Younger grades are treated to a less intense version where the program is more fun but still informational. Upper grades experience more thought provoking lessons that are geared for their age group. Adults are presented with specific challenges that will inspire them to excel.

There are students who we will never be able to reach and students who already believe in self achievement. It's Jay's job to influence those in the middle and help them set a course of action that will bring future sucsess.

Shows are customized depending on the audience - Tricks, stunts and escapes for a sales meeting would be different then for high school ages or lower grades. For example: A sales meeting may have a segment where the top producers try to outdo each other with knowledge and the person who is the best wins a Spiff. On the other hand the high school audience may not win any prizes because we believe they should be inspired to achieve for personal satisfaction and the lower grades are treated to the presentation as infotainment. Basically, Each audience needs a different approach and Jay Leslie is fully capable of presentating programs that meets the needs and goals of the sponsor.
